UPod Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how UPOD LLC (“UPod”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use upod.app and the UPod Service.


1. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form).
  • Purchase information: the plan you bought and transaction records. Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number.
  • Usage data: questions attempted, performance, and activity within the Service.
  • Technical data: device, browser, IP address, and cookies.

2. How we use information

  • To provide and operate the Service and your access.
  • To process payments (via Stripe).
  • To provide support and send transactional emails such as receipts.
  • To improve the Service.
  • With your consent, to send product updates. You can opt out at any time.

3. Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your card data is handled by Stripe under its own privacy and security terms. We receive only limited information such as confirmation of payment and the last four digits of your card. Stripe also sends your purchase receipt. See Stripe’s privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies to keep you logged in and to understand how the Service is used. We use Google Analytics for analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the Service, and where required by law. These include Stripe (payment processing and receipts), Google Analytics (usage analytics), and Mailgun (account and verification emails).

6. Data retention

We retain account and transaction records as needed to operate the Service and to meet legal and tax obligations.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To make a request, email [email protected]. California residents (CCPA) and EU/UK residents (GDPR) have additional rights, including the rights described above.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Children

The Service is intended for adults preparing for professional examinations and is not directed to children under 16.

10. Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new effective date.
